ABOUT ME

After 22 years working in corporate America, including four years as an executive for a fortune 500 company, I know firsthand how important it is to develop a work/life balance. As a full time working mother, the physical, mental and emotional demands eventually took a toll on me until I had an “awakening” that I wanted to be a better me and still continue to help others, but in a different more meaningful way. I made the decision to transition careers and become a Licensed Massage Therapist and open my own practice; thus True Tranquility was born.

I was first introduced to massage as a teenager when I participated in track and field and was captain of my high school’s drill team, and then again later through my background in dance (jazz and hip hop in which I also performed professionally). All of which caused me to experience my own share of minor injuries and body ailments while learning a great deal about human anatomy, conditioning, maintenance and treatment and how the body heals and responds to activity and stress.

As a result I strongly believe in whole health and wellness. I enjoy helping others feel their best by providing quality healing through therapeutic and relaxation massage. Talents and gifts should be shared; I want to both share and utilize mine to help others. As a graduate of the Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts I specialize in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Techniques (MET) as well as treatment of various conditions.

Anyone can get a massage anywhere; when someone comes to see me, I want them to “Experience a truly tranquil transformation.” My focus is for each person to have a unique session catered specifically to them and their needs. When you visit True Tranquility, you not only receive healing of the body, but also of the mind and spirit. In addition, I love to provide educational/knowledge based recommendations and tips for post session maintenance and ongoing treatment.

When I’m not enjoying helping others through the healing power of massage, I am usually spending quality time with my family, enjoying a good show or movie, trying a new restaurant and wine tasting, or traveling.
